Karen LeBarron
Karen LeBarron, 67, of Augusta, passed away Monday evening, Feb. 9, 2015, at the home of her daughter in the loving care of her family, friends and Mayo Home Hospice.

Karen Marie was born July 20, 1947, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Paul and Madeline (Louke) Kleist. She was raised in Eau Claire where she attended Sam Davey Elementary School and graduated from North High School in 1965. Karen was united in marriage to Thomas LeBarron on Feb. 16, 1968 in Sisseton, South Dakota. The couple lived a short time in St. Paul, before moving to Augusta, where they raised their family. In addition to being mother, Karen had worked during the harvest season for Bush Brothers Canning Company, as a baby sitter, at the Augusta Baker and Mail Source. She eventually did home health care and most recently she was working with her daughter cleaning homes, until her sudden diagnosis with cancer. Through out the years she enjoyed crocheting and knitting, reading, playing cards and working puzzles of all sorts. Karen was fond of basketball and if there was a game on television she was watching it. She especially enjoyed picnics and any time spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Kathy (Ralph) Knuth and Shelly LeBarron (Gary Lone) all of Augusta; son, Paul LeBarron (David Stoltz)of Augusta; 2 sisters, Doreen (Everett) Seeley of Eau Claire, Sandy (Bill) Knudtson of Chippewa Falls;  11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Beverly Green; and husband, Tom LeBarron.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Feb. 13, 2015 at 6 p.m. at the Augusta Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Dale Hazard officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the East Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Friends may call Friday from 3:00 p.m. and until time of services at the church.
