​Harvey Krueger
Harvey Krueger, 94, formerly of Augusta, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2015, in Englewood, Florida. 

Harvey James, son of Otto and Emma (Pederson) Krueger was born July 9, 1920, in Eau Claire, WI. As a child he attended the Foster School and was confirmed in Osseo. He was united in marriage to Mildred Doris Buchholz on December 23, 1941, in Rockford, Illinois. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Augusta area. Harvey also drove truck for Reinhard Boettcher and tended bar for Bill and Jack Vinopal. In his 60’s, Harvey and Mildred started traveling, which took them to Florida, where he worked excavating for Ed Hong. The couple finally settled in Englewood, where they built their home. Harvey passed away from heart failure on Jan. 10, 2015, reaching the age of 94 years, 6 months and 1 day. He is survived by 2 sons, James of Hartford, WI, Roger and Vicky of Rubicon, WI; 3 daughters, Betty of Englewood, FL, Doris and Stan Benway of Augusta, Sally and William Tenny of Eau Claire; 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by Mildred, his wife of 63 years, who passed away on Jan. 10, 2005; 5 grandchildren, James Kolpien, Troy Krueger, Laura Krueger, Richard Krueger and Joseph Page; daughter-in-law, Janet Krueger, siblings, Clara Thom, Chester Krueger, Amy Hageness and Margaret Johnson. 

Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Hay Creek, rural Augusta.. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services Thursday at the church. The church is located south of Augusta. Take county road M south to Brunzil Road, turn east on Brunzil, go to Hay Creek Road and turn south on Hay Creek. The church is located at the corner of Hay Creek Road and Zank Road.
