Norma Hagedorn
Norma R. Hagedorn, 90, formerly of St. John’s Apartments in Eau Claire, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls. 

Norma Rose, daughter of James and Esther (Hen thorn) Hill was born March 12, 1925, in Glidden, WI. She was raised in Glidden, where she graduated from high school in 1943. Following graduation she was employed as a ticket agent at the bus depot in Eau Claire. While at the depot she met, Gary C. Hagedorn, the couple later married on June 5, 1948. For most of their married life, Gary and Norma owned and operated the 5’O’Clock Club in Eau Claire. Eight years before Norma’s retirement she had owned and operated the Hillcrest Motel in Eau Claire. For the past 20 years Norma had made her home at St. John’s Apartments on Chapin Street, where she enjoyed volunteering where ever she was needed. Norma was baptized and confirmed at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, and had been a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church since May of 1959. Norma’s life revolved around her family and her church. She filled her life to fullest, helping others, playing cards, attending church functions and spending quality time with family.  

Norma will be dearly missed by her daughter, Sandra and Gary Buchholz of Chippewa Falls; 2 sons, Ricky Hagedorn (Marie) of Eau Claire, Timothy and Grace Hagedorn of Wausau; 6 grandchildren, Tammy (Troy) Redd, Christy (Edward) Scruggs, Troy Buchholz (Sarah Di Biasio), Ashley (Stacey) Hinke, Jisela Hagedorn, Lexus Hagedorn; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Lorraine (Palmer) Solberg of Chetek; brother-in-law, Gerald (Sharon) Hagedorn of Eau Claire; and life long friends, Warren and Martha Jaenke of Lake Hallie. 

Norma was preceded in death by her father in 1974; her mother in 1988; husband in 1987; son James in 1949; and siblings, Duane, Audrey, Russell and Garnetta Hill. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Friday, March 20, 2015, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, with services starting at noon. Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery in Fall Creek.
