Emma Berlin
Emma L. Berlin, 91, of Ludington Township, rural Augusta, passed away late Saturday evening, August 1, 2015 at the Augusta Area Nursing Home.

Emma Louise Berlin, daughter of Leo and Lola (Hudson) Hagedorn was born May 18, 1924 in Ludington Township, Eau Claire County. She was raised in the township where she was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and attended Woodland Valley Country School. Before her marriage she worked as a housekeeper for several neighbors in the area.

Emma was united in marriage to Milton Herman Berlin on September 25, 1943 in Fall Creek. Milton and Emma farmed all their married life in Ludington Township. In addition to helping on the farm with the milking and feeding, she raised large vegetable gardens and spent countless hours canning the produce. She especially enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens and spending time outdoors working in them. Emma enjoyed her life on the farm and leaving her home wasn’t all that important to her. She received her information through newspapers and through the years clipped many newspaper articles which she saved in various scrap books.

Emma will be dearly missed by her 3 daughters, Darlene and Dale Noel of Fall Creek, Kathy Berlin and Ken Hakes of Stanley, Pamela and Alvin Seichter of Augusta; son, Roger and Kathy Berlin of Augusta;
13 grandchildren, Lori , Daryl, Michele, Darin, Kory, Kari, Joey, Shaine, Caitlyn, Jade, Michael, Vanessa, and Wade: 16 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jasha, Brooklyn, Madison, Zachary, Katie, Kyle, Carter, Dakota, Kendel, Kate, Camryn, Kadyn, Baylynn, Cash and Tanner; 3 great-great grandchildren, Bella, Cade and Jordan; 2 sisters, Mildred Dekan of Cornell, Beverly Pettis of Augusta; sister-in-law, Hattie Hagedorn of Colfax; several nieces and nephews. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lola; husband Milton on Aug. 16, 2005; daughter Kim Eichelt in 2004; granddaughter, April Eichelt in 1982 and siblings, Lawrence, Clarence, Fred, Ira, Louis and Ernest Hagedorn, Minnie Dehnke, Evelyn Hall, Irene Berlin, and Clara Carpenter.
