Inez Arries
Inez A. Arries, 91 of Augusta, passed away at her home Friday evening February 20, 2015, in the loving care of her family and St. Joseph’s Hospice.  

Inez Ada Arries was born in Lincoln Township, rural Augusta, on January 31, 1924, the daughter of Theophil and Lola (Klatt) Erdman. She was raised in the Rodell area where she attended Rodell Country School and graduated from Augusta High School in 1943. She was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek, and was a confirmed member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Bears Grass, before transferring her membership to Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta. Inez was united in marriage to William J. Arries on June 21, 1947, in Elkader, Iowa.  

Inez will be dearly missed by her 4 daughters, Marvel (Steve) Barka of Fall Creek, Franchion (Keith) LeMere of Galesville, Malia Arries (Darrell Shelby) of Rhinelander, Shonnie (Art) Brazeau of Eau Claire; son William Arries (Linda Smith) of Eau Claire; 8 grandchildren, Kevin Barka, Jenni Haak, Mitch Barka, Mindi King, Casey Barka, Nick LeMere, Clay Le Mere, Peter Brazeau; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Alvin Erdman of Hayward; sister-in-law, Aubrey Wittren of Altoona.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill on May 28, 2013; and sister, Virginia Bauch Staats. 

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at. Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta, with Pastor Jonathan Wessel officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Valley Cemetery, rural Augusta. 

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
