Caroline Krumenauer
Caroline A. Krumenauer, 95, formerly of rural Chippewa Falls, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at the Chippewa Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls.

Caroline, daughter of John and Ella (Conrad) Lane was born Oct. 20, 1919, in Seymour Township, Eau Claire County. She was raised in Seymour Township, where she attended Oak Knoll Country School and was a life long baptized and confirmed member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was united in marriage to John “Jack” Krumenauer on Nov. 12, 1940 in Chippewa Falls. The couple farmed all their married life in Lafayette Township in Chippewa County. Caroline worked along side her family on the farm, milking, helping with the field work and feeding the animals. Every year she planted a large vegetable garden and enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens. Caroline was an avid card collector and kept all the cards she was ever given for every occasion and enjoyed displaying them. She was also fond of birds and always made sure that the feeders were filled. During her life her involvement with the ladies society of Zion Lutheran was very important to her, helping with thrift sales, church dinners and various other church functions. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her immediate family and large extended family and always looked forward to the outings with her sisters and sisters-in-law.

Caroline will be dearly missed by her son, John and Sandra Krumenauer of rural Chippewa Falls; daughter, Joan (Jack) McVinnie of Chippewa Falls; 4 grandchildren, Jason (April) Krumenauer, Bill Krumenauer, April (Trevor) Marion, Dave McVinnie; 3 great grandchildren, Avalyn and Molly Krumenauer, Hudson Marion; 2 sisters, June Aude of Fall Creek, Julia Steinke of Eau Claire; 2 sisters-in-law, Selma Lane of Fall Creek, and Margaret Krumenauer of Chippewa Falls.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2002; and siblings, Leona Moldenhauer, Viola Wiese, Margaret Drehmel, Gordon, Henry and Reinhold Lane.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Fall Creek, with burial in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held before services on Sunday at the church beginning at noon.
