Romaine Krenz
Romaine R. Krenz, age 75, of Fall Creek, WI passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Fall Creek Valley Care Center.
Romaine, son of Herman & Lorena (Schacht) Krenz, was born on June 8, 1938 in Eau Claire, WI. He attended Green Meadow Elementary School and Fall Creek High School. Upon graduation Romaine farmed with his parents until January of 1958 when he entered the U. S. Marine Corps and served until January of 1964, three years of which he served in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserves. Upon his discharge from active duty in January of 1961, Romaine returned to the home farm until 2005 when the farm was sold. He moved into the Wunderhaven Apartments in Fall Creek in October of 2005. Romaine enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching sports, especially the Badgers, Packers, Brewers, Nascar, and being with family & friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Sue & Gary Hagedorn and Connie & John Brown of Augusta; three nephews, Terry Hagedorn of Eau Claire, Mitchell (Melissa) Brown of Wheeler and Mark (Debbie) Brown of Fall Creek; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father on March 1, 1994 and his mother on April 8, 1987.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek with Pastor Larry Borgelt officiating.
There will be visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at a later date in Trinity Cemetery in Fall Creek, WI. Anderson Funeral Home of Augusta is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred and will be donated in Romaine’s name.
