Irma Klick
Irma J. Klick, 99, formerly of Osseo and Eau Claire, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday evening, April 10, 2014 at the Augusta Area Nursing Home.

Irma Josephine Nimsger was born January 27, 1915 in Eau Claire. As a child she moved with her family to Ludington Township, where she attended Oak Ridge Country School. On June 17, 1933 she was united in marriage to Arlo Berlin, and to this union their 6 children were born. In 1946 the family moved to their farm in the Foster area of Clear Creek Township. After selling the farm Irma moved to Eau Claire, where she worked as a prep cook at Yard 4 Supper Club and for Austin’s White House before taking full time employment with Presto Industries in Eau Claire, producing ordnance and ammunition products. On Jan. 6, 1973, Irma married Wilbur Klick in Osseo.

After the couple retired they moved to Osseo in 1979, where they were members of the Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church. Over the years Irma worked hard at whatever she was doing, taking pride in her bountiful gardens and the delicious food she prepared for family and friends. For entertainment she enjoyed dancing, especially when Wilbur played in his various bands. Wilbur and Irma spent many good times traveling throughout the United States and she always enjoyed a friendly game of cards like pinochle, or relaxing with a game of solitaire. On Sept. 30, 2011, Irma and Wilbur entered the Augusta Area Nursing Home. After Wilbur passed away on Dec. 19, 2012, Irma continued her stay at the home where she enjoyed being a part of their family.

Irma will be deeply missed by her 6 children, Cecil Berlin (Marilyn Lee) of Eau Claire, Joe (Pearl) Berlin of Brackett, Carol Thoma of Hayward, Corrine Bethke of Rosemount, MN, Judy Klick of New Brighton, MN, Pat Ristau of Osseo; brother, Donald Nimsger of New York; 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Wilbur, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Jule and Lena Nimsger, brothers, Leon and Glen Nimsger, sisters, Evelyn Staats and Phyllis Jungerberg, sons-in-law, Dale Klick and Jake Thoma, and daughter –in-law, Shirley Berlin.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church in Osseo, with Pastor Lewis Thompson and Intern Pastor David Tielbar officiating. Burial will be in St. Luke’s Cemetery in Foster. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of the Augusta Area Nursing Home for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Irma while she was with them.
