Roger Huth
Roger Allen Huth, 83, passed away June 11, 2014 at his home. He was born August 4, 1930 in the township of Wilson, Eau Claire County to Henry and Augusta (Pankonen) Huth. He attended Progress Country School in Wilson. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Seymour.
In 1966, he was united in marriage to Diane Skoug at the Dovre Lutheran Church in rural New Auburn. Roger and Diane farmed dairy and beef cattle south of Boyd until retiring to Cadott in 1995.

Roger enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, bowling, dartball, and playing cards. He was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ludington, was on the Wilson town board, and a member of the NFO. As a young man, Roger enjoyed many western hunting trips and had a passion for his Polled Herford cattle as well as his dairy farm. He was mechanically minded and enjoyed building and repairing equipment and gadgets in his farm shop/garage.
Roger was proud of his sons and was pleased with the families they married into. He thought his daughter-in-laws were the best. He was a kind and faithful son, husband, father, and grandfather and absolutely adored his “Bride” Diane.
He is survived by his wife, Diane of Cadott. His sons, Charles (Sandra) of Boyd, Richard (Kirsten) of Cameron, Arvid (Jolene) of Boyd, Benjamin of New Berlin, Maynard (Rebecca) of Hudson. One sister, Florence (Duane) Springborn of Pickett, WI, one sister-in-law Maxie May Huth of Fall Creek, two brother-in-laws Dr. David (Muriel) Skoug of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Darrell (Beverly) Skoug of Chetek, WI. 15 Grandchildren: Kayla, Weston, Gina, Eric, Henry, Hayden, Adeline, Eben, Hank, Eva, Isaac, Oliver, Everett, Greta, and Roger. Also a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Arnold, Clarence, and Lester.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with lunch to follow. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
