Sue Del Grosso
Susan L. Del Grosso, 64, formerly of Fairchild, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley. 

Susan Loretta, daughter of Donato and Mary Jane (Frueh) Del Grosso was born May 23, 1949 in the Bronx, New York, New York. She was raised in the Bronx, where she was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith and graduated from Taft High School. Sue was united in marriage to Alfred William Zucker on Nov. 28, 1970 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in the Bronx. The couple lived in New York until moving to Fairchild in 1980. Sue had also lived in Augusta, Altoona and Eau Claire. Due to failing health she had moved into assisted living in Menomonie, was recently hospitalized in Madison, and was currently a resident of the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. 

While in Fairchild, Sue had worked at Ruppert’s Café, and for many years had worked with Handishop, providing maintenance to rest areas in Wisconsin.  

Sue enjoyed knitting and crocheting, along with various art and craft projects. She specially enjoyed putting floral arrangements together and before having to deal with health issues, she had worked at Michaels art and craft store in Eau Claire, and also at Office Max in Eau Claire. While in Augusta she enjoyed her involvement with the members of the Augusta Assembly of God Church. 

Sue is survived by her children, Alfie Zucker and Tim Zucker both of Fairchild, Loretta (Jason) Lauterbach of Windsor; 8 grandchildren, Tanner, Logan, Laikyn, Tyler, Krista, Olivia, Isaiah and McKenna; brother, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Del Grosso of Middletown, New Jersey; sisters, Candy Del Grosso of Fairchild, Theresa (Steve) D’Onofrio of Flagstaff, Arizona; aunts and uncles, Carolyn Hart of Fairchild, Rose (Everett) Fox of Elk Mound, Susan (Bob) Niemi of Lodi, Phyllis Frueh of Altoona, Alice Vold of Black River Falls, and their families. Sue was preceded in death by her mother on April 30, 1998, father on Sept. 5, 2000 and husband, Alfred on Feb. 11, 2002.
 
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, with burial in the West Lawn Cemetery, both in Augusta. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
