Linda Woodford
Linda Woodford, 64, of the Fall Creek Commons, passed away Wednesday morning, December 18, 2013 at her apartment.

Linda Lee Woodford daughter of William and Ollie (Curler) Ruff was born Jan. 11, 1949 in Eau Claire. She was raised in the Town of Ludington and lived all her life in the township until moving into the Commons in November of 2011. She attended rural country school and graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1967. Linda was united in marriage to Harold Woodford on July 1, 1967 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fall Creek, the couple lived all their married life in rural Fall Creek. Through the years Linda had worked on the family farms and at Sell’s and Thorson’s Mink Farms. Before her husband passed away she had worked in housekeeping at the Road Star Inn in Eau Claire and at the Hallie Shopko.  

She had also worked for R.G.I.S. Inventory and Northern Lighting before suffering a stroke in 1997, forcing her early retirement. Linda enjoyed spending time with family, her various pets, gardening, canning and crocheting. A large portion of Linda’s life revolved around serving her Lord and Savior. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith and was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church, Seymour. She had enjoyed singing in the church choir, in the early 80’s she and Harold were instrumental in forming and overseeing the combined youth group for Zion and Bethlehem Lutheran. She had been a leader with the Bethel Bible Series bible study, had recently started a bible study at the Commons, and was a long time Sunday school teacher and ladies aid participant.  

Linda will be dearly missed by her 2 daughters, Christina and Mike Hausmann of rural Fall Creek, Penny Woodford of Eau Claire; 2 grandchildren, Daamon and Korrin Stalson both of Eau Claire; brother Bill Ruff and sister Judy and Jim Kiesow all of rural Fall Creek; sister-in-law, Laurene Ruff of rural Augusta; aunt Beverly Curler of Eau Claire; nieces, nephews, cousins and the Woodford family. 

She was preceded in death by her father William on Jan. 12, 1975, mother Ollie on Nov. 19, 1987, husband Harold on Sept. 27, 1991, brother, Larry Ruff on Aug. 31, 2003 and sister-in-law Carol Ruff on Feb. 4, 2012.

Funeral services will be held after Christmas on Sat. Dec. 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Seymour Township, with Pastor Cal Siegel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
