Catherine Vogt
Catherine R. Vogt, 84, of rural Fairchild, passed away early Sunday morning, Nov. 17, 2013 at the Fall Creek Valley Care Center, where she had been a resident since October.  

Catherine Rose Vogt, daughter of Anton and Frances (Reszka) Dolatta was born January 14, 1929 in Steven Points, Wisconsin. It was in Stevens Point that she was baptized into the Catholic faith. As a small child she moved with her family to rural Augusta. She was confirmed at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Augusta, attended Diamond Valley Country School and graduated from Augusta High School in 1946. Following high school Catherine worked in the office of Presto Industries in Eau Claire. On May 28, 1949 she was united in marriage to Clement Vogt at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Augusta. The couple farmed all their married life in Bridge Creek Township, rural Fairchild. In addition to family gatherings, activities that Catherine and Clem enjoyed were dancing, playing cards, fishing and the Packer games. 

Catherine will be deeply missed by her son, Allen (Kathleen) Vogt of Franklin; 5 daughters, Christine Seidling of Hayward, Susan (David) Jahr of Marshfield, Connie (Francis) Manlick of Auburndale, Francine (James) Welper of Rochester, MN, Beth Vogt (Dane Rankin) of Oak Park, IL; 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; sister Grace Larke of Augusta; sisters-in-law and brother –in-law, Sister Joseen Vogt of Rochester, MN, Leonard (Evelyn) Vogt of Rose Creek, MN; and several nieces and nephews. 
  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Frances Dolatta, husband Clem on Sept. 14, 2011, son Edward Joseph Vogt on July 12, 1997, and sister Jean Shong on July 28, 2008.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raymond’s of Penafort Catholic Church, rural Fall Creek, with Father Meuret officiating. Burial will be in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services Friday at the church.
