Dave Polinske
David Polinske, 78, formerly of Ludington Township and Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Country Terrace Senior Assisted Living in Bloomer.
Dave Jerome Polinske, son of Herbert H. and Gladys (Higbee) Polinske, was born June 11, 1934, in Ludington Township, where he was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Dave grew up in the Ludington area where he attended Pine View, Woodland Valley and Bluff Country Schools. As a young man he left home to work on various farms in the Chippewa area. After his retirement he had lived at the Northern Hotel and Rutledge Home in Chippewa Falls, before moving in July of 2012 to Country Terrace in Bloomer. Through the years Dave loved working puzzles, listening to country music and watching westerns. While at the Rutledge Home you could find him every night watching All Star Wrestling. He also enjoyed when he was visited by animals and children, and especially the kind friendship of Rutledge employee, Sandy Rasmussen of Chippewa Falls.
Dave is survived by 3 brothers, Al of Augusta, Philip and Kenneth of rural Stanley; 2 sisters, Marilyn Mansur of Augusta and Joyce Pilgrim of Cadott; several nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his father on Sept. 4, 1979, mother on July 4, 1988, brother Robert on June 10, 2002, sister, Diane Polinske on Jan. 1, 2003, and brother William on July 14, 2011.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with spring burial in the Ludington Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
