Thomas Looker
Thomas W. Looker, 84, of 203 Waughtal Road, Black River Falls, WI, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Black River Memorial Hospital in Black River Falls.
Thomas William Looker, son of Cecil and Frieda (Fogo) Looker, was born May 23, 1928 in Withee, Wisconsin. Tom was raised on a farm in Withee and graduated from Withee High School in 1947. Tom met Dorothy Schmidt of Augusta, at Fournier’s Dance Hall in Eau Claire, the couple later married on July 9, 1948, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Augusta. Tom and Dorothy lived most of their married life in the Augusta area, where he worked 18 years at the Dairy Maid Co-op Creamery and over 10 years at Bush Brothers Canning Company. For several years he had also worked at Presto Industries in Eau Claire. After Tom retired, he along with Skip Ginther worked on various projects for Lampert Yards in Augusta. Tom enjoyed listening to polka music and loved to go hunting and fishing with family and friends in Wisconsin. In September of 2012, Tom and Dorothy moved to Black River Falls, and due to failing health he entered Family Heritage Nursing Home in November.
He will be deeply missed by Dorothy, his wife of 64 years; 4 children, Paulette Rud of Osseo, Tom Jr. and Sandra Looker of Cross Plains, TN, Timothy and Vicki Looker of Gaylord, MI, Peggy and Joe Thomley of Black River Falls; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Glenn and Emil Looker.
No formal services are planned at his time.
