Drusilla Kiefer
Drusilla A. Kiefer, 89, formerly of Augusta, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at the Wisconsin Veterans Administration Home in Chippewa Falls.

She was born May 9, 1924, in Oak Park, IL, the second of five children of Leonard and Florence Wagner. She graduated from Bensenville Community High School in 1942. During the war she worked in Chicago for the U.S. Treasury Department. She married Robert J. Kiefer on March 2, 1946 at St. Alexis Catholic Church in Bensenville, IL. Together they raised nine children.

In 1973 Dru and Bob, with several of their children, relocated from the Chicago area to a home they had built on 40 acres on County M near Augusta. Dru savored each day of their life in the country, and she imparted to her children a love of animals, nature, and the smallest things. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Augusta and later St. Raymond’s parish. For several years Dru served as a foods leader for the Thompson Valley Travelers 4-H club. She had a special flair for cake decorating, and she made lovely wedding cakes for family members and friends. She and Bob moved to Chippewa Falls in 2011.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; her children, Pamela Norpell of Aurora, IL, Paul of Hanover Park, IL, Greg of Atlanta, GA, Patty (Alan) Munroe of Palestine, TX, Jennifer (Gonzalo) Mendoza of Chicago, IL, Scott of Berwyn, IL, Lynn (Gary) Bowe of Chippewa Falls, Michelle (Kevin) Campbell of Mount Horeb, and Cynthia of Eau Claire; a brother, George Wagner, Bensenville, IL; and a sister, Glenda Vogler, Wood Dale, IL; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Eugene Wagner and Audrey Wagner.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raymond’s of Penefort Catholic Church, with burial in Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery both in Brackett. A visitation will be heldon Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. up until time of services. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
