Sharon Colvin
Sharon L. Colvin, 72, of Augusta, passed away at the Fall Creek Valley Care Center on Thursday, March 28, 2013.

Sharon Lea Colvin, daughter of Fredrick and Charlotte (Karow) Ringhand was born August 13, 1941, in Eau Claire. She was raised in Augusta, where she baptized on Aug. 31, 1941 and confirmed on June 19, 1955, both at Grace Lutheran Church. She attended school in Augusta, graduating from Augusta High School in 1959. After graduation she had attended UW-Eau Claire and had worked at the Hotel Eau Claire. She later moved to Minneapolis for employment, before returning to Augusta in the mid-60’s. For over 20 years Sharon had been employed by Eau Claire County, starting with the Department of Human Services and when she retired in the late 1990’s, she was working with payroll for the County Highway Department. Sharon was united in marriage to Jim Colvin on May 29, 1982, at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta.  
The couple lived all their married life in Augusta. Sharon and Jim spent many enjoyable hours fishing and hunting, and at home she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and watching her favorite television programs  

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Jim of Augusta; three step children, Jeannine Colvin of Syracuse, NY, Howard (Carla) Colvin of Miami, FL, Joseph (Phalle) Colvin of Livingston, MT; 6 grandchildren, Brian, Abbey, Kaitlyn and Grace all of Miami, FL, Theresa and Danny both of Livingston, MT; 2 brothers, Richard (Sandra) Ringhand of Augusta, Eugene Ringhand of Eau Claire; sister, Betty (Michael) Rasmussen of Kenosha.  

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte on Aug. 17, 1984, father, Fred on March 23, 1997, sister, Alice Lowman on Aug. 17, 2002, and sister-in-law, Joan Ringhand on Jan. 21, 2013. 

Memorial services will be held Wed. April 3, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with burial at a later date in the West Lawn Cemetery in Augusta. Friends may call 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the caregivers from St. Joseph’s Hospice. The loving comfort and support given to Sharon and the family will never be forgotten.
