Mary Boullion
Mary J. Boullion, 70, of rural Fairchild, passed away early Monday morning, December 2, 2013 at her home in the care of her family and Black River Memorial Hospice.

Mary Jane Boullion daughter of Clarence and Vera (Campbell) Jinkerson was born Oct. 10, 1943 in Black River Falls. She was raised in Fairchild, where during her high school years she worked at the Sunset Nursing Home. She graduated from Fairchild High School in 1961. Mary was united in marriage to Jack Boullion on Jan. 20, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Fairview, rural Fairchild. The couple lived briefly in Wisconsin Rapids while Mary was working at Edwards Paper in Nekoosa. Later that year they moved to Eau Claire, where she worked at Luther Hospital until they returned to Fairchild in 1966. She worked two years for the Fairchild School District and from 1968 until her retirement in October of 2003, she worked as the administrative assistant for the Alma Center School District.

Mary loved music and enjoyed playing the organ and singing. She spent hours stamping, making greeting cards and also made a variety of soaps. In earlier years she enjoyed snowmobiling with family and friends. She loved her trips to Vegas, but was the happiest when spending time with the many children throughout the years who called her “Grandma.” The highly anticipated night of the year was New Year’s Eve, going to grandma’s meant drinking grape juice and ringing her bell collection at the stroke of midnight. When the kids were too mischievous her comical threat was, “ If you don’t behave I’m going to take you into the bedroom and screw your head on straight.”

Mary will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by Jack, her husband of 52 years; brother Richard and Carolyn Jinkerson of Fairchild; Jinkerson nieces, Krista, Sarah, Amanda and Cheryl; very special people in Mary’s life, Polly Barney, Tammy Mayer, Vanessa Walker, Nick and Gauge Bertrang. She is further survived by her Boullion in-laws, nieces, nephews, co-workers and many friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her father Clarence on April 9, 1993, mother Vera on April 7, 1992, young sister Darleen Jinkerson.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with visitation starting at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
